Why this site exists

My Dahua IP cameras wouldn't play their live stream in a web browser. While digging into it, I found that another brand sold the same Dahua-made camera under its own name, and that brand had published newer firmware with HTML5 streaming support. I flashed my camera with their firmware, and it worked.

Dahua builds devices for many brands (Amcrest, EmpireTech, Lorex and others), and each one publishes firmware on its own schedule. This site collects those files and matches them by the hardware they install on, so you can find newer or alternative firmware for your device, whoever sold it to you.

How to find the right firmware

    Get your device's updateSerial

    Open one of these URLs in a browser and log in. Note the updateSerial value.

    Search for it

    Type the updateSerial (or the model name on the box) into the search box above. If there's no exact match, try a shorter prefix such as IPC-HDW2431, or browse device families.

    Download and verify

    Device pages list compatible firmware newest first, with a direct download link. Check the notes before flashing.
